Fort Worth’s permit service currently has 3,496 records that were submitted in the past year. In a typical week, about 4,000 permits change status. Commercial buildings are in the system an average of 164 days and homes an average of 35.
Fort Worth has excellent technical infrastructure behind their permitting system and expose it all as open data and I built this tool to highlight that in the hopes that others follow suit.
